This FREE event is an opportunity to learn more about non-profit and healthcare organizations that do great work in our community. Mark your calendar to stop by and take advantage of everything they have to offer – they will be highlighting their missions and projects, distributing information, and promoting healthy living and volunteerism in the area. It’s time to vote for our Sturgis City Council Members and Mayor!
The Chamber is hosting a City Council & Mayoral Election Forum on Tuesday, March 26th. This event is open to the public – please join us to hear from existing Council Members and new candidates as well our current Mayor and new mayoral candidate on topics that matter in our community! Special thanks to Francie Ruebel-Alberts for moderating the event.
We’re teaming up with Sturgis Economic Development and The Local to bring a Home-Based Business Mixer to Sturgis!
Do you work from home? Enjoy your days working in PJ’s? It’s pretty great, however, maybe you miss having “coworkers” – those individuals who understand what it’s like to also work at home.
We’re putting on this mixer to celebrate those who work from home and give you all a platform to connect and meet the community! Join us for some networking, some cocktails and connection with other locals who work from home.

Description: The 2019 Sturgis Volksmarch will take participants into Deadman Canyon on a historic journey to the old dams along Alkali Creek that supplied water to the city of Sturgis. Due to safety concerns, these dams were decommissioned decades ago and are now in ruins or silted in. Hikers can enjoy a hike through a shaded gorge amongst the area’s famous Ponderosa Pine trees – both the 5k and 10k options may include shallow creek crossings, depending on the weather. The trailhead information booth will provide additional information and photos surrounding the history of the dams along the Volksmarch trail the day of the event. This is a walk/run at your own pace event.
