Our signature Sturgis Area Chamber events take place throughout the year and are curated to contribute directly to our mission as an organization. Events promote business and retail, support and celebrate the agriculture community, and increase the tourism footprint for the Sturgis area.
Furthermore, several of our events exist for the specific purpose of enhancing our local quality of life. Legislative Crackerbarrels
February 3rd 2024 / March 2nd 2024
Legislative Crackerbarrels are a unique opportunity to meet our district legislators, ask questions, and share your views on current legislative topics. The Sturgis Chamber hosts two Crackerbarrels each year; one at the beginning of the legislative session in February, and one at the end in March. Election Forums
Multiple Dates
The Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce strives to provide opportunities for our member businesses to meet our elected representatives and be heard, as well as to connect the community with our leadership. For this reason, we host multiple election forums throughout the winter and spring season to fulfill our mission.
Community Showcase & Health Fair
March 20th 2024
The Community Showcase & Health Fair offers a chance to browse booths of local nonprofit and healthcare organizations to get to know their missions and projects. Businesses display information to help the community understand what they do - this is also a great opportunity to donate or volunteer! Click below to learn more:
Annual Chamber Awards Banquet
April 4th 2024
The Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce hosts an Annual Chamber Awards Banquet in April. Tickets become available a few weeks prior to the event each year, and are open to Chamber members and other individuals in the community. Tickets sell out quickly! Spring & Fall Community Yard Sales
May 4th 2024 / October 5th 2024
Sturgis invites the public to participate in two Community Yard Sales each year! One is held the Saturday before the first full week in May, and the other on the Saturday before the first full week in October. These events are very well-attended and are a great way to find bargains while touring our beautiful community. Click below to learn more:
Sturgis Volksmarch
June 15th 2024
Sturgis has been hosting the Annual Sturgis Volksmarch for decades, and it is one of our favorite community events. Our town is lucky to be surrounded by breathtaking scenery and public lands - past Volksmarches have traversed the beautiful Black Hills National Forest, Bear Butte State Park, the historic Fort Meade recreation area, and other unique sites. Sturgis Art Festival

The Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is hard at work planning our FOURTH year of the Sturgis Art Festival! This festival will highlight the best of the best artists, crafters, and businesses in our area. Vendors report that this festival is consistenly one of their best sales events of the year! Battle of the Bands
June 1st 2024
The Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the return of a badass expansion of our annual Sturgis Art Festival: Prepare yourself for the face-melting, mind-bending sounds of garage band magic at Harley-Davidson Rally Point during our SECOND Legendary Sturgis Battle of the Bands! Our inaugural event was a massive success, make plans to attend our best yet in 2024!
Annual Sturgis Chamber Golf Tournament

Northern Hills Ag Fest
July 26th 2024
Part of the Chamber's mission is to actively support agriculture in our area. To do this, we host a number of agriculture-related events that showcase the kindness, economic contribution, and embedded lifestyle of agriculture in the Sturgis area. The Northern Hills Ag Fest is one of these events that includes mutton bustin' for kids, a dress-a-calf competition, community bbq, and more! Community Appreciation Picnic

Join us at our annual Chamber of Commerce Community Appreciation Picnic in August! Business owners and residents come together to share well-wishes and thanks for another great summer season. Food is donated by several different local businesses and sponsors, and all are welcome to eat for free and enjoy live music. Sturgis Fall Festival

The Sturgis Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau invites your family to the 2023 Sturgis Fall Festival! Attendees can enjoy a family-friendly event with a real hay bale maze, hay rides, fall photo booth, fall vendors, kids' games, and more!
Leadership Sturgis Program
October 1st - October 22nd (Tuesdays) 2024
Leadership Sturgis is a series of workshops aimed to help you become a better leader, a better citizen of our community, and give you better skills for success! Agriculture Appreciation Banquet

This family-friendly multi-location haunted house helps raise funds for our year-round community festivals and programs. Sturgis Tree Lighting Ceremony & Parade of Lights
December 5th & 6th 2024
Happy Holidays from the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau! To celebrate the holidays each year, join us at our annual Sturgis Tree Lighting Cermony and Parade of Lights. Held on two consecutive nights at the beginning of December, these popular local events kick off a month of festivities with brightly-lit parade floats, well-wishes from local businesses, a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by our town Mayor, the traditional lighting of the community Christmas tree, and more! Chamber Lunch & Learns
3rd Thursdays Monthly
Our Chamber is dedicated to providing fun, educational opportunities to our residents and community workforce. We host a monthly Lunch & Learn to do just that! Join us for a special learning luncheon each month including an enlightening presentation, group discussion, or hands-on workshop. Once per quarter we will feature an expert panel on a relevant business topic.
