Event Funding Program
About
Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau receives and distributes up to $20,000 in event grant dollars from the City of Sturgis to local businesses and organizations each year. These dollars are awarded to Sturgis area businesses and organizations that wish to organize an event 1) within City of Sturgis city limits, and 2) within the 2024 calendar year.
Preference is given to events that can best fulfill the following goal(s):
- Primary Goal: Bring visitors to the Sturgis community to support the local economy.
- Secondary Goal: Enhance Sturgis area residents' quality of life.
An Event Funding Committee comprised of three Sturgis Area Chamber Board of Directors members reviews applications and allocates funds on a case-by-case basis. Allocations are made completely at the committee’s discretion. Committee preferences and processes may vary from year to year.
Please see the 2024 application for full submission instructions as well as the full award notification and disbursement process.
