February Progressive Theater
The Sturgis Area Arts Council Drama Committee is planning its Third Annual Progressive Theater event. This enjoyable evening will include 3 one-act plays at 3 venues in Sturgis—one play at each local business on Friday, February 25th. Food will be served at each stop along the way. The audience will be limited to 84 (28 at each venue) and the audience will rotate as the evening ‘progresses.’ The $25 tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 28th at noon and will only be available by telephoning Chris (347-1795) or Marlene (347-1375). Each call will be limited to 6 tickets. No pre-sale reservations will be offered. Share the information with theater-lovers so that everyone knows this will be the only opportunity to obtain tickets. The sales go very quickly (within 15 minutes last year).
Most especially, actors are needed for the plays. Maybe you’ve thought about getting involved in acting in Sturgis but haven’t had the time to commit to some of the longer plays. This might be the perfect opportunity for you to be part of a short production with minimal preparation and rehearsal time which you can set within your group. For information or to try out your acting skills, call Jen (490-1125), Gary (890-2189), June (720-6150), Marlene (347-1375), or Chris (347-1795), all members of the SAAC Drama Committee.
