Recent Sturgis Area Projects:

Sturgis Public Works Campus

This project added over 20,000 square feet to the existing hospital and replaced 8,000 square feet of existing specialty clinic space. This project included 33 exam rooms, three procedure rooms, three staff core areas, a lab, business office, physician offices, and support spaces. It also provides a new front entrance to the hospital and Emergency Department, and increased parking spaces.

Sturgis Monument Health Addition and Remodel

The Sturgis Public Works Facility is a new facility that is located on Dudley Street in Sturgis, SD at the location of the existing Public Works campus. The new facility will help to accommodate a master plan that was initiated by the city to better serve its citizens.  Combining all of the cities maintenance departments into one, it helps for a more organized approach, and a better use of resources.  This location allowed the City to utilize existing property to construct the new buildings. The existing location also has existing outside parking and storage area. CO-OP Architects of Rapid City designed the facility and Ainsworth Benning was selected as the CMAR for the project.  The first portion of the facility features a 7,500 sq ft office administration and training component.  This will become the hub for the Public Works Department to start and end their day, while having resources available to do their job.  The other main buildings will include two 120’ x 100’ (12,000 sq ft) shops with heated floors for maintenance & vehicle storage.  Other amenities include an interior and exterior wash bay, new fuel island, salt/sand storage, exterior cold storage, new water building, and separate garbage truck storage.
