About Dakota Frontier Camp Adventure for Kids
Dakota Frontier Camp provides a free one-week summer camp and year-round activities for kids with cancer, located one mile west of Bear Butte.
"It is our MISSION to provide an adventuresome, educational, safe summer camp experience for all children, and to enrich the quality of life for those impacted with health challenges, in the colorful past and present settings of the "Black Hills" of South Dakota."
Dakota Frontier is owned and operated by "Heart of a Child", LLC which is Ronald L. and Diane Johnson of Sturgis, South Dakota. A family endeavor of the entire Johnson family to include, Brian, Cathy, Amanda and Ella Johnson.
Dakota Frontier Camp is located on 40 acres near Bear Butte State Park at Sturgis, South Dakota. Fishing, hiking, boating, crafts will be available. Medical clinic on site.
