A Holiday Reminder: Welcoming Newcomers

Happy Wild-Weather Wednesday, Sturgis!

This week has brought us a cornucopia of weather – snow, ice, sun, rain – you name it. It seems like this time of year our to-do lists are just as wild, if not more-so! This being the case, I urge you to take special time out of each day to simply be thankful for family, the upcoming holidays, and for community – but also to help others do the same.

Our community is lucky to be close-knit – if something noteworthy happens down the street, we usually hear about it as quickly as the weather has been changing lately! However, it’s important to remember that for newcomers this can also be a challenge. Extending an invitation to a new neighbor on your block or attending a new business’s event is a small thing with a huge ripple effect. Be thankful for the community we have and take time to welcome others into it so they can make it even more vibrant and full of life!

Tomorrow we invite you to a Ribbon Cutting event for Erich Moberly, a State Farm Insurance agent hoping to make a positive mark on the Sturgis community. Let’s all take a moment to attend the ceremony and show him what a wonderful place Sturgis is to live and do business in.

Sincerely,

Veronica Grosek
