Chamber Update: Upcoming Events

Happy Wednesday!

We’re in the middle of another busy spring week, and it’s looking like March might go out like a lamb! I want to sincerely thank everyone who has been part of our events over the last few days – here’s a rundown of what we’ve been doing and what’s coming up:

  • The Community Showcase & Health Fair was a huge success – this week’s newsletter includes photos of the Chili/Soup Competition winner, as well as a link to the full photo album. We were amazed by the support from residents and other business owners in the Sturgis area – it was our best year yet!
  • The 2019 City Council & Mayoral Election Forum was extremely well-attended and informational. Thank you to the Meade County office for providing a venue for the forum, and thank you to the candidates and our moderator, Francie, for participating and preparing us for the upcoming election! We covered some great topics ranging from city infrastructure to Sturgis’s economic outlook and retail scene. The Chamber looks forward to working closely with this year’s City Council to best support our business community!
  • Next week we will be hosting our Chamber Awards Banquet! Event details and ticket information can be found below. This will be my very first year as Director presenting to you all, and I’m so excited to name our business of the year recipients and give a presentation on the Chamber’s accomplishments, goals, and some highlights from our Members during 2018!
  • Finally, we’re gearing up to put on our Spring City-Wide Yard Sale! This ever-popular event is a great way to do some spring cleaning and come together as a community. Details and the sign-up form can be found in the newsletter this week!

Thank you all for a great year so far, I’m continuously grateful for the opportunity to serve Sturgis and work with a phenomenal staff here at the Chamber.

Sincerely,

Veronica Grosek
