Another week in the books!
Once October hits, it’s always a little shocking how quickly the time flies by! It seems like just a few days ago we were beginning preparations for our Haunted House, and suddenly here it is happening tomorrow night!
This being the case, please take time to visit the Haunted House to support the students helping to put it on, as well as the Chamber and our community as a whole! The Thespian Society from Sturgis Brown High School is ready to put on an amazing show, and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum has been working hard alongside our staff to design this spooky experience. It is organizations and groups like the Museum and Thespians that bring people together and make Sturgis a wonderful place to live!
If you aren’t so much a Haunted House connoisseur, have no fear (pun intended!) – this week you can also participate in the Motorcycle Museum’s Middle School Lock-In happening overnight on Friday, a Pumpkin Painting Class at White Canvas next weekend, the annual Family Fall Blast put on every year by the LifeSpring Wesleyan Church (inflatables, costumes, carnival games, a photo booth, and tons of candy!), “Trunk or Treat” events at the First Presbyterian Church AND the United Methodist Church, a Halloween Photo Booth at White Canvas, or possibly the Black Hills Storytellers at it again telling their spooky tales!
If you’re hoping to leave the kids with a sitter, Kickstands Campground is hosting a Halloween Party with entertainment Common Law, and The Knuckle Saloon is putting on a party and costume contest! Contact any of these Chamber members or subscribe to our weekly e-newsletter for more information.
That’s it for this week! We will see you all on the 25th, 26th, 30th, or 31st at the Chamber’s Crypt Haunted House!
Sincerely,
Veronica Grosek
