A Chamber Member stopped by a few days ago with an excellent question: “My organization wants to know why we should continue our Chamber Membership. What can we take advantage of that we haven’t been?”
This is one of the questions I encourage each Member to ask us! The answer depends on what type of business you are – we have a wide variety of services and resources, and each business we work with has different needs. Here are some of the things we like to remind our Members of:
Send us your event/activity/news updates!
As our Member, we will help share them on social media, post them on our website calendar, and include them in our e-newsletter each Wednesday. If you’re not getting our email newsletter, contact us so you can start receiving it!
Reserve our conference room for free!
Members can call or email to reserve it for any day, any length of time, any time day or night. Contact us for a full list of amenities in the room.
Drop off your promo items!
We send Member flyers out in visitor packets across the country weekly and hand them out to tourists and local walk-ins every day.
Let us know what concerns or obstacles you’re facing as a business owner!
We aim to connect as many Members as possible. Chances are, we know someone else out there who has tackled your obstacles before!
Attend our mixers and other events!
We put these on for your benefit as a Member – this is how you meet customers and other business owners in the community! Oftentimes, you can also take away ideas for your own events or ways to promote your business just by attending and observing.
Take advantage of our sponsorship and advertising opportunities!
Most of these are offered to Members only. Show the community that you care by giving back through sponsorships of events that are already gathering your target market!
Serve on a committee or as a volunteer!
This is a great way to become more involved in the community, and the only cost is time. Contact us to find out what committees we have and the best one to fit your interests. We are also always looking for volunteers – sign up to help with just about anything, from event promotion to setup/teardown to reception desk assistance!
