Happy July, Sturgis!
I will keep it short and sweet this week so you can all get back to enjoying your Independence Day festivities more quickly. 😊 Here is the TL;DR version of this week's newsletter:
1. We are on the verge of launching our BRAND NEW Chamber website! This will feature a tourist-centric design and an enhanced business directory for our members in addition to other essential website functions. Please make sure you submit the items requested below for your new directory listing asap!
2. Fireworks stands are up! I've included a detailed list of each of our Sturgis fireworks stand this year with information about their locations, hours, products available, and more. Scroll down to view.
3. We have a special ribbon-cutting coming up this month! Bear Butte Gardens has been working hard for the past year to construct a brand new facility including a farm stand, commercial kitchen, and beautiful vacation rental. Details on this upcoming celebration are below.
4. Sturgis Farmers Markets are picking up speed! Our market is back for the summer and the next market date will be Saturday the 11th. Stop by Main and Junction to view produce, crafts, and other goods available from local vendors.
5. The City of Sturgis wants to help businesses get "back to normal!" The City of Sturgis has released guidelines that have been developed in response to the Governor’s Back to Normal plan. The main changes concern restaurants and bars. Sturgis continues to work to ensure that we are as business-friendly as possible while implementing the Governor’s plan. If you should have any questions, please contact the City of Sturgis City Hall at (605) 347-4422.
6. Welcome new members! We have been welcoming new members at an almost alarming rate lately! Thank you to each and every business that has recently joined. Visit our website directory and help us support them!
Thank you for reading, and Happy Independence Day!
Sincerely,
Veronica Grosek
