Welcome, October!

Good evening, Sturgis!

Since last week’s letter was extra lengthy, I will keep it short and sweet this week! Please keep the following Chamber and community activities in mind, and be sure to follow our weekly e-mail newsletter for a full listing:

  1. Chamber Lunch & Learn: The Scoop on Social Security
Our Lunch & Learns are hitting their stride and going great so far! Join us tomorrow for an enlightening presentation on Social Security with our very own Melissa Hampton of Edward Jones in Sturgis.
  2. 2019 Post-Rally Summit
The City of Sturgis has been working hard to present their data on this year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at their annual Post-Rally Summit, also happening tomorrow! Arrive by 8:30am to register at the Sturgis Community Center. Presentations last until 3pm.
  3. Sturgis Farmers Market
It’s still going! Stop by 1238 Main again this Saturday for the Sturgis Farmers Market – we are holding markets only as long as the weather holds out, so be sure to take advantage while we still have them! 9am to 1pm.
  4. Chamber’s Crypt Haunted House
We are in the planning phase of our popular annual haunted house event – the Chamber’s Crypt! This year we will be hosting the event on October 25th, 26th, 30th, and 31st – stay tuned for details and be sure to mark your calendar!
  5. THANK YOU – Agriculture Appreciation Banquet
Finally, an enormous thank you from the Chamber staff to everyone involved with the Agriculture Appreciation Banquet last week! It was a huge success, and it is always great to see the community supporting our ag industry. Check out our Facebook page for photos!

That’s all I’ve got this week! Go forth and be engaged, supportive community members!

Sincerely,

Veronica Grosek
