The Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with the Downtown Sturgis Foundation and the City of Sturgis, is excited to announce the launch of a new official community events calendar. Designed to centralize and streamline the sharing of local events, the calendar is now live at www.AllSturgisEvents.com.
This new calendar platform aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of events happening within the Sturgis area. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor, you can now find a comprehensive list of happenings all in one convenient location.
Key Features of the New Calendar:
- Sponsored By: The calendar is a collaborative effort sponsored by the City of Sturgis, the Downtown Sturgis Foundation, and the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. This partnership ensures that the calendar will serve as a central hub for community events, benefiting both residents and visitors.
- Event Submission: Public events located within 5 miles of Sturgis, including festivals, fundraisers, races, sporting events, concerts, and more, can be submitted for review and inclusion. Submissions are reviewed and approved by our chamber team, typically within one to two business days.
- User-Friendly Interface: The calendar offers an easy-to-navigate format, allowing users to sort events by category, timeframe, or view them on a map. It also provides event organizers with the ability to submit their own events, complete with images, links, and detailed descriptions.
- No Cost and Inclusive Access: Unlike previous calendars, this platform is free and not limited to specific businesses or districts. It’s open to any business, club, or group hosting a public event within the Sturgis area.
- Wide Promotion: The calendar will be actively promoted through various channels including social media, media releases, and newsletters by all sponsoring organizations. Our goal is to maximize exposure and engagement for local events.

Our international Chamber experiences are open to anyone from the Sturgis and Black Hills area. You do not have to be a Sturgis Chamber member to attend, but members will receive a significant discount. Learn more about this year's trip and upcoming trips, below!

JUDGES & SCHEDULING

Competitors are allowed a 15-minute set with 15-minute change-over time between groups at the legendary Harley-Davidson Rally Point Stage in downtown Sturgis. Our Stage Manager and production crew will be contact registered competitors prior to the competition to finalize equipment needs and scheduling.
A panel of expert judges from varying backgrounds will score competitors in a variety of categories. Categories may include criteria such as originality, musicality/theory, energy/quality of stage presence, professionalism, and others. A more detailed rubric of judging criteria will be provided prior to the competition date. 2024 Judges will be required to sign a Conflict of Interest Disclosure to help ensure fair judging practices.
