For locals, it’s a source of pride: a business that celebrates what makes this region special and gives friends and family a reason to visit and stay.
What Sets Us Apart
Authentic Conestoga Wagons: Real covered wagons outfitted with luxury amenities—not replicas or glamping tents, but the genuine article.
Historic Location: Situated along the Bismarck-to-Deadwood wagon trail, one of the most significant pioneer routes in the Northern Plains.
Magnolia Network Featured: Born from a build on the Magnolia Network’s Building Outside the Lines, bringing national visibility to Sturgis and the Black Hills.
As members of the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce, Mike and Mindy are committed to strengthening the local tourism economy, collaborating with fellow businesses, and ensuring that The Wagons at Apple Springs serves as an ambassador for everything that makes the Sturgis area extraordinary. We believe that by honoring the history beneath our feet and offering an experience guests will never forget, we can help draw visitors to the region year-round—not just during Rally week, but every season.
Reviews
Just spent a night here - what a beautiful location. the wagons are extremely clean, well thought out and appointed - very nice stay with all the comforts. The site is also very well done with fire/cooking pit, picnic table and plenty of outdoor seating.
