Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. All the things that come with it are just amazing. Colder weather, warm drinks, delicious treats, and fun events! Certain events help get everyone in the Black Hills to get into the fall mood. I personally have some events on my fall bucket list. Here are a few events in the Black Hills that are perfect for your fall/Halloween schedules:
Sturgis Fall City-Wide Yard Sale
The Sturgis City-Wide Yard Sale is an event that the Sturgis Chamber does every year. This event has a comprehensive map of over fifty-yard sales happening around town. This year’s fall city-wide yard sale is Saturday, October 3rd, and goes all day! You never know what you will find that you never knew you needed. There will be no cost to attend sales. Sturgis Fall Festival & Oktoberfest
Chambers Crypt Haunted House
Every year the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce puts together a haunted house. This year the haunted house is October 28th-31st and will be at the Sturgis Armory. Be ready to get your pants scared off at this event! Click below for more information about this event.
Spearfish Corn Maze
The Spearfish Corn Maze has had me dreaming for years! They are open mid-September through October every year. This year, they are open September 11th-October 31st. Their hours vary based on day, and month. Not only do they have the maze and the pumpkin patch, but they also have a special event happening called Music at the Patch! Music starts at 2:00 with Lacy Nelson and Jalan Crossland. The last night that they’re open, they do a scare maze. Be prepared to scream! Click below for more information on this event.
Paranormal Investigation of the Adams House
Deadweird has been a very popular event for quite some time here in the Black Hills. I love going up to look at all of the amazing costumes that people from all over the area come to show off. This event happens the last two nights in October and they are nights FILLED with fun! On October 30th, the fun will begin at 7 pm. Live music, prizes, dancing, and a Monster Ball at the Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort. That is just the beginning! On October 31st the party starts at 6 pm. Music, dancing, and everyone’s favorite part...THE COSTUME CONTEST!! Seeing people from different communities come together and enjoy themselves makes this event all the better. These events are just the beginning of the festivities in the Black Hills when the leaves start to change. Do you have a favorite fall event?
