Chamber Update: May/June Events

Good afternoon, Sturgis!

May is wrapping up and summer weather is here! There are three important items I’d like to touch on this week:

1.  Tomorrow:  2019 Sturgis Chamber Beer & Wine Festival!

We have been finalizing the preparations for one of our biggest events of the year, and it looks like it’s going to be a blast! Visit the Knuckle Pavilion (between the Knuckle Saloon and Brewery buildings) tomorrow between 5:30 and 8pm for an evening of local wine and beer tasting, live music, and a TON of silent auction items (teaser: you could end up winning one of several overnight stay packages or tickets to a Rush game!). Tickets are available at the door, in our office prior, or online (scroll down for details). ADDED BONUS:  Attendees will get a flower lei to add to the festive and tropical theme!

2. Next Wednesday:  Chamber Mixer + Downtown Statue Unveiling Ceremony!

Next Wednesday is our very first Music on Main event of the year, and we will be kicking the season off with a Statue Unveiling Ceremony at 7pm (right after our Chamber Mixer at Rush-No-More Campground)! Hear from our Mayor, Mark Carstensen, and enjoy live music by local favorite 35th and Taylor. The evening also includes the weekly bike race, vendors, and a 50/50 raffle to help raise funds for future statues through the Downtown Sturgis Foundation!

3. Starting this week:  “Community Kudos” in our weekly e-newsletter!

Starting in this very issue of our Chamber e-newsletter, we will be posting “Community Kudos” submitted by local residents and businesses! Email me anytime with your kudos for an individual, group, or business that has gone above and beyond. Let’s recognize everyone in our community that makes it such a wonderful place to live and do business!

That wraps up my letter this week! Please stop by anytime to say hello, and remember – we are so lucky to be part of this kind and supportive community!

Sincerely,

Veronica Grosek
