Happy Thanksgiving From the Sturgis Area Chamber!

Dear Sturgis,

With the holidays drawing near, our office is buzzing with activity! My staff and I have been spending our days registering parade floats for our upcoming Parade of Lights, lining up organizations to hand out treats at the Tree Lighting Ceremony, taking names and addresses for free Thanksgiving meal deliveries by the Sturgis Alliance of Churches, and meeting regularly with the City staff, Economic Development team, and individual businesses to plan a wide variety of other activities!

I really think that the Christmas season in Sturgis will be one to remember this year; we are shaping up to be quite the Christmas village! In case you haven't yet, make sure you take a drive down Main Street after dark to see the brand new garlands and lights that the Downtown Sturgis Foundation purchased to add an extra special twinkle to our community. You will also soon see a couple of storefronts on Main Street jump to life as the City of Sturgis's Hometown Christmas Markets open in one week! I've already spoken with several of our member businesses that have reserved booths, and I can't wait to check it out!

Remember that even though our days seem to speed by this time of year and there are so many events and activities taking place, now is the time to pause and give thanks. I will personally be giving thanks for what a wonderful community I am part of; for my incredible, kind, and dedicated staff; for the way that so many businesses and organizations lift one another up and collaborate for the good of our community; and of course for our good health, family, and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce!

Sincerely,
