Happy Friday!
With everyone working hard to dig out of this blizzard, things have been on hold for a couple days! Luckily, warm weather is just around the corner and we’ve got a jam-packed couple weeks to help us get there faster. Here’s what the Chamber has coming up:
3/21 – Community Showcase & Health Fair
It’s finally time for the Annual Community Showcase & Health Fair this Thursday! We’ve had an overwhelming response from local nonprofit and healthcare organizations interested in having booths – thank you! I’m proud to report that this year’s Showcase will be one of the biggest ever, with over 40 booths – more than 20 of them will participate in the Chili & Soup Supper competition! This event is your opportunity to learn what organizations exist in our community, how to be involved, and what they are working on this year. Scroll down for additional details.
3/26 – City Council & Mayoral Election Forum
It’s time for a city election! Don’t miss the public forum we are hosting in two weeks to learn more about this year’s City Council and Mayor candidates. These events always have a great turnout and great questions – we can’t wait to usher in a new year of leadership!
3/27 – Home-Based Business Mixer
In two weeks we’re having Sturgis’s first Home-Based Business Mixer! We’re inviting home-based business owners in all fields to join us at The Local on Main Street to share drinks, get to know each other’s businesses, and make connections! We know how hard it is to feel connected when you are a sole proprietor or working from a home office. Bring your business cards, some flyers, and yourself for a great networking event!
4/4 – 2019 Chamber Awards Banquet
Keep an eye open for ticket sales to open up for our 2019 Banquet – we’re hosting it at the Loud American Roadhouse this year, and excited to show you the headlines from 2018, our goals for 2019, and recognize this past year’s most outstanding local businesses! The Chamber is accepting nominations for 11 different awards throughout the next week – please scroll down to find the nomination form and help us congratulate the best of the best!
Thanks for supporting our community, we can’t do it without each of you and we look forward to seeing you at these events over the next couple weeks.
Sincerely,
Veronica Grosek
