Happy Wednesday!
As snow and ice continue to encase our town, do you find yourself wistfully thinking of summer? I have good news – you can re-direct those thoughts and your free time into serving your community as a volunteer! What better way to pass the time until warmer weather arrives!
Here are a few great volunteer opportunities available now:
- Ticket-Takers Needed – The SD Men’s Amateur Basketball Association is coming to town this weekend for their annual tournament! We can’t wait to welcome the teams to our community. They are in need of volunteers to help take tickets at the door on Saturday and Sunday – please contact the City of Sturgis at (605) 720-0800 if you can help!
- Agriculture Committee Members Needed – Sturgis’s Agriculture Committee is meeting for the first time this year on March 4th, 12 noon at the Chamber. They will be planning the annual Ag Fest event and our Agriculture Appreciation Banquet. The Committee is accepting new volunteer members now! Contact us or just stop by the meeting if you are interested.
- Motorcycle Museum Volunteers Needed – The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame is launching a volunteer program to help them in their mission to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of motorcycling! If this is up your alley, click here to learn more.
If your organization is in need of volunteers, please let us know so we can help spread the word! Let’s work together to ensure that Sturgis continues to be a compassionate and caring community.
Sincerely,
Veronica Grosek
