Good evening, Sturgis!
Another week has come and gone, and the town is certainly a-buzz with the feeling of true spring in the air. Lawns are being cut, greenhouses have been erected, the rains have arrived, and students are itching to get out of the classroom and enjoy some summer fun!
Here are a handful of quick reminders as we head into the weekend:
- Sturgis is HIRING!
You may have noticed a few "Now Hiring" signs around town - ok, maybe a LOT of signs. Sturgis businesses are in need more than ever of reliable, hard-working help to make our summer months and tourism season a success! Please tell anyone and everyone looking for a job to contact the Chamber office. We collect job posts from our member businesses and do our best to help get those jobs filled. If your business has openings, please let us know! We also list jobs at the end of this weekly e-newsletter by request - scroll down to view this week's posts.
- Events, events, and more events!
As the weather warms up, more and more events are taking shape! Scroll down for details on our upcoming School Board Election Forum next Wednesday, the 2021 Sturgis Art Festival (now welcoming vendor booths!), the annual Sturgis Volksmarch, a great upcoming Lunch & Learn, and more. We also list our members' events in this e-newsletter weekly for free - contact us to submit your upcoming event details.
- Send us your visitors!
Half of our responsibility as the Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is helping our visitors with area information, business recommendations, accommodations, maps, and more! Please remember as you serve our traveling guests to refer them to our Welcome Center at 2040 Junction Avenue. Our staff is extra-friendly, extra-knowledgeable, and ready to make our guests want to come back again and again!
Please contact our office anytime with your questions, comments, and requests. We will always do our best to serve you.
Sincerely,
Veronica Grosek
