Happy Friday!
We are definitely navigating unfamiliar waters this week as a community, but knowing that we are all in it together and supporting each other makes all the difference. Here are a few things the Chamber is doing this and next week to pitch in:
- We are hosting a Virtual Egg Hunt to boost morale and encourage the community to get to know each of our Members’ virtual business presence! Scroll down for details on this fun activity happening 4/5-11.
- We are encouraging you to submit Community Kudos using our online form to help us recognize the wonderful community members and businesses that have been going above and beyond this week.
- We have put together a comprehensive list of COVID-19 updates, available on our website. We edit this list frequently each day to ensure that it is as current as possible.
- We have created an interactive map of Member businesses that are still open to walk-in or curbside customers. If you have a Member business that can be added to this list, please let us know.
- We are continuing to attend as many educational sessions and meetings as possible, such as webinars and phone conferences, to stay current with all of the changes happening this week and next.
- We are working closely with the City, Economic Development, and other organizations to provide a united support force to the Sturgis business and residential community as we navigate the virus.
- We are modifying some Chamber events to be held online, such as our Promoting Sturgis Retail: Idea-Sharing Session scheduled for April 6th.
- We have temporarily closed our Visitors Bureau lobby to better protect our staff and membership.
Details on several of these items can be found below. Please remember to take a break, walk around the block, read a book, and relax! If you need anything at all – even just a listening ear – our Chamber staff is just a phone call or email away.
Sincerely,
Veronica Grosek
